We have a three bedroom home in Dubai with a study, 3 bathrooms, laundry and seperate maids room. It has seperate lounge and kitchen as well as an outdoor dining area with BBQ. Directly out our back gate is a lake with its own playground - fantastic for families with children. Our house is semi-detached, two storey with a private yard.

The area we live is called 'The Springs', it is a gated community with a security check point. It has tennis courts and pools within the gated community. The area has villas and townhouse build around a series of lakes. We have a supermarket, coffee shop, restaurants, nail spa, pharmacy all within walking distance. The neighbourhood is extremely friendly and exceptionally clean. There is a gold course and club house 10 minutes from our house and major shopping centres are easy and cheap to reach by taxi. The world famous 'Ski Dubai' is 15 minutes and US$5 away.

My husband Steve and I, Tamsin, have two children Louise 4 and Blake 18 months. We are Australian and have been living in Dubai for just over a year. My husband is working here in television and I am a stay at home mum. We have a dog Elle who has travelled with us from Australia to Singapore and now to Dubai - she is a very gentle old dog who is great with children. Our live in helper Tini moved with us from Singapore and would be available to help you on your exchange. She is very friendly, a great cook and very good with children.
