La maison
We have three individually decorated bedrooms upstairs (one ensuite). In addition we have two "spare beds" that can accommodate children. All rooms are equipped with air conditioning and fully furnished to the highest standard.
The House has large back garden over looking a grassed park and lake, a large terrace with a BBQ for outdoor dining, the master bedroom has a balcony with views of the lake. It has a separate dining room, lounge and kitchen.
The house is "protected" by our cat - Woodie (well the dining room chair is!)She loves people and will spend hours being groomed - if you have the patience.
Our garden is maintained by a live out gardener, and we have a live-out maid who comes in once a week for the essentials.

Since we have no children, this house is not particularly child friendly. We have limited facilities such as toys, etc. There are companies in Dubai where you can rent all you need,
Smoking is not allowed inside the house as we are non-smokers. There are plenty of opportunities for those who like to light up outside on the terrace/ balcony/ patio/ garden and the weather is warm enough not to really mind.

Our names are Melissa and Frank. We are both 36 years old. Melissa is Scottish and a Senior Safety Executive in an international facilities management company. Frank is Dutch and a Site Services Officer for a large residential area. We have lived in Dubai for 5 years.
We are both well travelled, having backpacked round the world for a few years! We love to visit new places and see the "real" country which is why we joined home exchange.
